Mathematical Modeling of Indications for Reconstructive Surgery of the Hip Joints in Patients with Cerebral Palsy

نویسندگان

چکیده

Summary. Relevance. Early detection of hip pathology in patients with cerebral palsy is an effective way to prevent spastic dislocation.
Objective: improve the diagnosis diseases joints through clinical and radiographic screening based on mathematical modeling.
Materials Methods. The total number was 47 (86 joints). We carried out a radiographometric examination our own method using standard anteroposterior radiographs, which were used determine parameters joint. Mathematical modeling indications for reconstructive surgery logistic regression also performed.
Results. model “probability surgical interventions” developed basis studied indicators factors influence.
Conclusions. A acetabular angle (AA), neck-shaft (NSA), femoral torsion (FT), migration percentage (MP), gross motor function classification system (GMFCS) level, gait, age proposed; accuracy 90.6% valid establishing correct (the critical level >16.95 ̊ AA, >45 FT, > 141.63 NSA, >30 % MP, ≤11 years age).

Hip dislocation in cerebral palsy: evolution of the contralateral side after reconstructive surgery☆

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the progression of the contralateral hip after unilateral reconstruction of hip dislocation in patients classified as GMFCS IV-V; and to identify potential prognostic factors for their evolution. METHODS This was a retrospective study on 17 patients with spastic cerebral palsy, who were classified on the GMFCS scale (Gross Motor Functional Classification System) as degre...

Avascular necrosis in children with cerebral palsy after reconstructive hip surgery

PURPOSE Progressive hip displacement is one of the most common orthopaedic pathologies in children with cerebral palsy (CP). Reconstructive hip surgery has become the standard treatment of care. Reported avascular necrosis (AVN) rates for hip reconstructive surgery in these patients vary widely in the literature. The purpose of this study is to identify the frequency and associated risk factors...

Effect of Hip Reconstructive Surgery on Health-Related Quality of Life of Non-Ambulatory Children with Cerebral Palsy.

BACKGROUND The primary aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship of the migration percentage (a radiographic metric quantifying hip displacement) in children with Gross Motor Function Classification System (GMFCS) level-IV or V cerebral palsy and spastic hip dysplasia to the acetabular index and the health-related quality of life (HRQOL) as measured with the Caregiver Priorities and Ch...
